Mike Nikou Takes the Helm
Peggy Lai to Lead China Business
BNP Paribas Asset Management (BNPP AM) has announced the appointment of Mike Nikou as its new Chief Executive Officer (CEO) for Asia, effective 1 September 2023. Nikou will succeed Florence Teh, who has held the position for the past five years and will now become Chairman of BNPP AM's Asia-Pacific advisory board.
Nikou has over two decades of experience in the finance and asset management industry. He previously served as CEO of Northern Trust Asset Management Asia Pacific and has also held senior positions at J.P. Morgan Asset Management and Credit Suisse Asset Management.
In addition to Nikou's appointment, BNPP AM also announced the appointment of Peggy Lai as Chairman of BNPP AM's China business. Lai has over 20 years of experience in the Chinese asset management industry and was previously the CEO of China Asset Management (Hong Kong).
These appointments demonstrate BNPP AM's commitment to expanding its presence in Asia and providing its clients with the highest level of service.
