Baltimore Ravens Super Bowl Hero Passes Away

Jones Scored Two Touchdowns in Ravens' Super Bowl XLVII Victory

Former NFL wide receiver and return man Jacoby Jones has died at the age of 40, according to a statement released by the NFL Players Union on Sunday.

Jones had a successful NFL career, playing for the Houston Texans and Baltimore Ravens. He was best known for his time with the Ravens, where he helped the team win Super Bowl XLVII in 2013.

In that game, Jones scored two touchdowns, including a 108-yard kickoff return touchdown that is the longest play in Super Bowl history.

Jones's family released a statement expressing their grief over his passing. "We are heartbroken to announce the passing of our beloved Jacoby," the statement said.

"Jacoby was a loving father, husband, brother, and uncle. He was also a friend to many and a role model to countless young people."

"We ask for privacy during this difficult time as we mourn the loss of our beloved Jacoby."
