Nicholas Beverley Joicey CB is the Director General for Finance at the Department for Work and Pensions. He is married to Rachel Reeves, a politician and Labour Party MP for Leeds West since 2010. They have two children.

In July 2023, Joicey was appointed to the post of Defra. Prior to this, he worked as Director General of Finance and Corporate Services at the Department for Education. He has also held various positions at the Treasury and the Department for Business, Innovation and Skills.

Reeves has said that Labour is "not anti-business" and that she wants to work with businesses to create jobs and growth. She has also criticized the government's austerity measures, saying that they have caused "unnecessary hardship".

The couple met when they were both working at the Treasury. They married in 2003.
