Holdenville, Oklahoma residents are trying to pick up the pieces after a series of tornadoes killed four people, including an infant, and left thousands without power. The tornadoes were part of a larger outbreak that ripped through southern Oklahoma on Monday, causing widespread damage.
The State Emergency Operations Center, which coordinates storm response, said that at least five deaths have been confirmed so far. The storms also caused significant damage to homes and businesses, and left many roads impassable.
The National Weather Service has issued a tornado watch for parts of Oklahoma, Texas, and Arkansas. Residents in these areas are urged to be prepared for severe weather and to take shelter if a tornado warning is issued.
