Early Life and Career
Anthony Edwards, nicknamed "Ant-Man" or simply "Ant," was born on August 5, 2001, in Atlanta, Georgia. He attended Holy Spirit Preparatory School in Atlanta and displayed exceptional basketball skills at a young age.
After graduating high school, Edwards joined the University of Georgia Bulldogs basketball team. In his lone season with the Bulldogs, he averaged 19.1 points, 5.2 rebounds, and 2.8 assists per game, earning him Freshman of the Year honors in the Southeastern Conference.
Professional Career
Edwards declared for the 2020 NBA Draft and was selected with the first overall pick by the Minnesota Timberwolves. He quickly made an impact in the league, averaging 19.3 points, 4.7 rebounds, and 2.9 assists per game in his rookie season.
