Nikola Jokic put up an impressive performance with 35 points and 16 rebounds, while Michael Porter Jr. also had a strong showing, helping the Denver Nuggets secure a 116-107 victory over the Minnesota Timberwolves in their regular season finale at Ball Arena. This win allowed Denver to overtake first place in the Western Conference.
The game was fiercely contested, but Denver ultimately proved to be the stronger team. Jokic, a two-time MVP, was unstoppable in the paint, consistently scoring and grabbing rebounds. Porter Jr. added 22 points, providing valuable support to Jokic. The Nuggets' defense also played a crucial role, limiting the Timberwolves' scoring opportunities.
With this victory, the Nuggets have secured the top seed in the Western Conference and will have home-court advantage throughout the playoffs. They finished the regular season with a 57-25 record, one game ahead of the Memphis Grizzlies.
The Timberwolves, on the other hand, will enter the playoffs as the seventh seed in the Western Conference. Despite the loss, they have shown great improvement this season and will be a force to be reckoned with in the postseason.
