Dubai's International Airport Flooded by Record-Breaking Rains

Unprecedented Downpours Submerge Roads, Homes in Emirate

Dubai, United Arab Emirates - A torrential downpour in Dubai has brought the world's busiest airport for international travel to a standstill, causing widespread flooding that has submerged roads and homes.

The city received a year's worth of rainfall in just a few hours on Tuesday, leading to unprecedented flash flooding. Airport operations have been suspended, with hundreds of flights canceled or delayed. Road traffic has been severely disrupted as major highways have become impassable.

Schools and businesses have been forced to close as water levels continue to rise. Emergency services are working tirelessly to evacuate residents from flooded areas and provide aid to those affected.

The United Arab Emirates, which includes Dubai, has been experiencing unusually heavy rainfall in recent days. The rains have also caused severe flooding in neighboring Oman, where at least 18 people have died.

The heavy rains are expected to continue for the next few days, prompting authorities to warn residents to stay indoors and avoid flooded areas. The National Center of Meteorology (NCM) has issued a red alert, the highest level of warning, for Dubai and other affected areas.

As the storm intensifies, officials are urging residents to follow safety instructions and stay vigilant. The NCM has warned that further flooding and damage is possible in the coming days.
